At Old Bridge, the care and safety of your children
There’s nothing small about Children’s Church except for the size of the Christians worshipping. Our goal is a meaningful, age-appropriate way for the kids to praise and worship God. That means praise music, joys/concerns, prayer, and a “message” geared towards them. Of course, your children are welcome to stay with you in the worship service. Children's Church is a year-round ministry.
Grow, Proclaim, Serve! Grow Your Faith by Leaps and Bounds incorporates Bible stories, activities, crafts, media, and games into a full faith experience for children. With "Grow, Proclaim, Serve" children will develop the skills to unlock the Bible message and grow their faith by leaps and bounds. With Grow, Proclaim, Serve as children grow in mind and body, they also grow in heart and soul. Grow, Proclaim, Serve will nourish and enrich children, from birth through between, in faith so they can proclaim the good news of God's love and serve God and neighbor. How can you serve? If you would like to be involved, contact Children's Ministries using the contact information at the bottom of this page. Sunday School is a year-round ministry.
Open to children ages 3 years - 5th grade, our Children's Choir meets each Sunday to learn classic Bible songs and familiar hymns. Pairing hand motions and simple melodies, the Children's Choir performs periodically in worship services here at Old Bridge and Tribute at the Glen Senior Living Center.
The Nursery is available on Sunday mornings for infants and toddlers, and during meetings and events for children through age 12. But please check with your meeting chair or event coordinator prior to the date to make sure childcare arrangements have been made.
Paid childcare positions are available. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves being with the children of OBUMC. We are in need of adding to our provider list immediately in order to be able to continue providing care as requested. If there is someone who has been a provider in the past and would like to continue doing so, please contact Children's Ministries to update our records. Basic Training will be provided! For more info please contact Children's Ministries (703-730-3895; )
The goal of every AWANA component – large-group lessons, Bible-centered handbooks, Scripture memory, small-group interaction, team-oriented games, awards and more – is to prepare children and teens to know, love and serve Christ. It’s an exciting approach to teaching God’s Word, combining learning with irresistible fun to produce lifelong results in churched and unchurched kids alike … and reaching their families, too! AWANA has a rolling admission, so it’s never too late to register. AWANA meets from September through May. Click here for more information.
