2024 Advent Series - Wonder of Christmas
The Christmas story is like a miracle. People love the story and we retell it every year. And the wonders of the story come in a variety of forms. Many small pieces of wonders can be found everywhere. It only takes a look. Join us this Advent, as we share the wondrous stories of Christmas. You will love that you decided to join us this Christmas season.
December 1 - “Wonder of a Name”
Holy Communion will be offered during the worship
Knowing who Jesus is what Advent is meant to start with. And the Bible tells us that Jesus is the promised one, in whom God is with us. That gives us hope. That brings us empowerment. That is the perhaps boring, but absolutely real good news of Christmas.
December 8 - “Wonder of a Star”
Holy Communion will be offered during the worship
Stars can be seen from everywhere. Unless the city lights prevent us, the opportunity to observe them is equal to everybody. But someone finds a star, while somebody else does not. Difference is not with the stars. It’s us.
December 15 - “Wonder of a Manger”
Kids will present a Christmas Pageant
Holy Communion will be offered during the worship
The greatest wonder of Christmas is probably not in the sky. No reason to look up to find the wonder, since it is in the lowly manger. Perhaps the greatest gift of Christmas is not found from afar. More likely, it may be just a look-around away.
December 22 - “Wonder of a Promise”
Holy Communion will be offered during the worship
In life, things can get difficult. It’s just a part of the story. But history proves what keeps us up is not necessarily absence of challenges. One promise can prevail over hundreds of layers of struggles.
