The Disciples: Stories of the Twelve

Jesus had a number of disciples, but there were twelve of them who stood out of all stories. At a glance, they seem to be heroes, but in fact, their stories witness those of such imperfect, ordinary folks as each of us are. This spring, Old Bridge invites you to explore the stories of the twelve. Indeed, it will be a powerful journey with ordinary stories that accomplish extraordinary vision.

June 9, 2024 - “Thomas”

‘Doubting’ is Thomas’ middle name. We call him in a sarcastic manner, as if doubting is about a half failure of faith. Maybe the truth is the opposite. Doubting and questioning can be the very start of strong faith.

June 16, 2024 - “James and Thaddeus”

Being an insignificant member of a group is not a fun thing. Nevertheless, when there is a major group, there are those who are minor, too. The thing is, it’s not always about who I am.

June 23, 2024 - “Judas Iscariot”

Judas is a unique disciple. Not only for the way he ended his journey with Jesus, but also for how he started it and where it is from. It is ironic that the most talented disciple ended up being a traitor.
